Sisterly Love in a Rocker

We have a bedtime routine of sorts for Karis. About every other night she gets a bath or shower. She gets her jammies on and gets zipped up into her sleepsack. Then we read 2-3 books with her. Often Karis will express a preference of who reads what book. Then Andy sings "Jesus Loves Me' to her while holding her and rocking her and I turn the lights down. After he's done, I hold her, turn the lights off, sing "You are My Sunshine", pray with her, and then tuck her in. the tucking in involves multiple blankets and a sippy cup of water. Katie is usually in the room with us so she can listen. Karis will often go over to her and try to "help" by pushing Katie's pacifier into her mouth, whether Katie wants it or not!

She shows a great desire to help with Katie, but must be constantly watched with her as she doesn't quite know how to be gentle enough with Katie. I hope they will be friends more than rivals as they grow up...
