I've got the Beat
For her birthday, Grandma Jan gave Karis some Marraccas that her Great-Grandma June had brought back from Mexico years ago. Karis loves to play with them and shake them. Though right now she likes to bang them against the window or wall best of all. I want to start doing some sort of music play with her, help her learn there is a beat and so on. I need to read up on the best way to do it. She is very young, so it may be a while before she understands about the beat, but will have lots of fun listening to and singing with the music.

Don't Ever Change
Karis has learned to climb up onto her changing table in the playroom. The other night, I was out grocery shopping and Andy was watching the girls. Karis was in the playroom and Andy had Katie in the family room. He heard Karis saying "eeeeww, Mommy eeewww. Daddy eeeewwww" He got up to see what was yucky and found Karis laying down on the changing table, stripped from waist down, dangling her wet diaper over the side saying" eeewww"! He was highly amused.
This is a day later. I heard her in the playroom saying "wet...wet". And walked in to find this, her sitting up on the changing table holding a new diaper for me to put her in...
