Happy 2nd Birthday Karis!
Karis celebrated her 2nd birthday at her grandparents house. Mommy made her birthday cake and Daddy chose her main present. She enjoyed her cake as much as last year, but was much more adept in the eating of it. She received a tricycle and some books from Mommy & Daddy. Grandma & Papa got her some socks, books, puzzles, and a little wagon with a painted block set. She had a great time opening her presents and loved her balloons. I can hardly believe she is 2 years old already.

All the Children of the World
Karis loves to go to Sabbath School. Miss Gloria teaches the class every week and Miss Wendi tells a story and does a craft. Miss Wendi also decorates the room. Karis loves to put the felts on the board at the appropriate time and to join in anything they have the kids do. She isn't singing along with the songs too much yet though. She will join in with the hand motions though. This is a rendition of "Jesus loves the little children".
This cradle roll is so much smaller than the one we used to go to. It goes from birth to 4 years old. there are about 5 girls and 1 boy that come with regularity. For socialization sake, I hope that there are more boys in her class when she reaches school age...

Leaf Pile Antics
We don't have any big trees in our backyard, but our neighbors do. So, this fall we had some leaves to rake up from the trees next door. Andy first raked them into a pile, and then showed Karis how to jump in the leaves. She had a ball. She also loved dragging around the small rake and helping Daddy. We took Katie outside as well and sat her in the bouncy seat to watch the action.
After awhile if taking pictures of Karis with Andy and Riley, I decided to take a photo of the girls together. So we got the first official photo of Karis holding her sister Katie. Karis was excited to get to hold Katie. The better photo is on Katie's site...

Like Father, Like Daughter
I found this shirt for Karis in the boys section of a second hand shop when she was about 8 months old. I knew that Daddy had a shirt that matched it so I bought it and have been waiting until she could fit into it. When she finally did, I kept on forgetting to take a picture of them together. The shirt is actually a size 12-18 months so it is getting small. But I finally remembered to take a picture of Daddy and daughter together. I think they look so cute dressed alike. Karis sees that shirt in her drawer and says "Daddy..." She adores her Daddy.
