Popsicle Break on the Couch
We went back to visit the cousins for a few days. Karis learns so much when she plays with them. She will eat some things for them that she won't for me. I can try to feed her something and she will refuse it. But have her cousin Ming feed it to her and she obediently opens her mouth.

Fun in the Pool
While visiting my family, we suprised Karis's Uncle Greg & Aunt Lorie by tagging along with the cousins for a visit. They didn't know we were in town. Uncle Todd, Uncle Bob, Cousins Ming & Zhen Zhu joined Karis & Daddy in the pool. Karis had a blast. I had intended to have her take swimming lessons long before now, but haven't. Maybe this fall after the baby arrives. We had a lovely visit and look forward to spending more time with them.

Mommy's Little Helper
Karis loves to help load and unload the dishwasher. She especially loves putting away the silverware. She likes to climb on the door of the dishwasher when it is open and it takes lots of redirection to keep her off it.
Today I was loading the dishwasher, when I went into the laundry room to check on the laundry. When I came back in the kitchen, Karis had dragged one of the chairs over to the sink and was pulling herself up on it to reach the sink. She was so proud of herself when she made it. I let her play with a dishwashing wand and a little dish soap. She happily cleaned the sink, creating lots of bubbles. Since that time she "helps" with the dishes as much as we let her. Hmm, hope she continues to love doing the dishes when she is an adolescent!
